Depth: 45’ – 80’

Beneath the magnificent cliffs on the western edge of Lanai, the tip of a rock formation sticks up out of the water in a shape resembling a shark’s dorsal fin.  The western side of the structure consists of a wall that goes to about 80’ to the sand.  This wall has many ledges and holes(pukas) to explore looking for nudibranchs, lobsters, octopus, eels, coral banded shrimp and many other small creatures of the sea.  Check out the underside of the ledges for the orange cup coral colonies.  The currents are often strong on the seaward side of the structure attracting schools of pyramid and pennant butterflyfish.
