Open Water Referral

PADI or Universal Open Water Referral (NAUI, SSI, SDI, etc) course for those that have completed all of the Academics and confined water training:

 $349.00 for 4 Open Water Dives

Lahaina Divers offers Open Water Referral Certification dives through our 5 Star training facility year round for individuals who are 10 years of age or older. Our Referral checkout dives are completed over two afternoons in the beautiful waters of the West Maui Coastline on our Turtle Reef charter. These classes are $349.00 and are booked as needed on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday. As a Lahaina Divers Alumni you will enjoy 10% off charters for life! (or the multi day discount, whichever saves you the most)

Process: Equipment
In the Open Water Referral completion course, you learn to use basic scuba gear, including a mask, snorkel, fins, regulator, buoyancy control device, computer and a tank. The equipment you will be using at Lahaina Divers is high quality and included in the price of your class. As a student, we offer you discounts and specials on gear so that you can start building your own equipment at a great price. Your instructor will inform you of all the current discounts we are offering!
Open Water Training Dives
Get ready to experience everything you've learned with the freedom of open water! Students will need to meet at our Dive Shop at noon on both days of training.  You will demonstrate your learned skills as prompted by your instructor surrounded by the beautiful sea life of the Maui coastline while completing your certification. As soon as your open water training dives are approved by your instructor, you will be a certified diver. Open Water Diver certification from any approved certification agency is recognized worldwide so your diving experiences will be limitless.

All academic and confined water training are completed at home so that you can enjoy the beautiful sun, sand and palm trees you came to Maui for!! Be sure to bring your referral paperwork with you!  Please read and complete the Divers Medical Questionaire prior to coming to Maui. If you need the RSTC Medical Statement and Guidelines for Recreational Scuba Diver's Physical Examination to take to your physican, please contact us.

Two Days, All Outside and In The Water!         

Day 1 (12:00 pm – 5:00 pm)

  • Meet at the shop to gear up before heading out for your dives - Bring towel, swimsuit and sunscreen.
  • Complete Open Water Dives 1 & 2 in the afternoon on our Turtle Reef charter.

Day 2 (12:30pm – 5:00 pm)

  • Meet at the shop to gear up before heading out for your dives - Bring towel, swimsuit and sunscreen.
  • Complete Open Water Dives 3 & 4 in the afternoon on our Turtle Reef charter.
Your tuition to Lahaina Divers Open Water Diver course includes:
  • Use of wetsuit
  • Use of buoyancy control device (BCD)
  • Use of regulator with dive computer
Each student needs to provide the following:
 
  1. PADI Open Water Diver Student Log (may be purchased at Lahaina Divers or your local PADI dive shop)
  2. Bring your own mask, fins, snorkel and dive timer (may be purchased with student discount of 15% at Lahaina Divers)

    Included: Training Dives as listed above, all rental scuba gear necessary to complete your certification, photo PADI card.
    Not included: 10.166% tax & fees & Dive Logbook. (Logbook may be purchased through Lahaina Divers or your local dive shop)

     All students must be in good health and complete a medical questionnaire prior to diving that can be found here.
