Depth: 60’ – 70’

Wash Rock has two major pinnacles running perpendicular to the shore and rising from a 50-60 foot bottom.  The westerly pinnacle barely breaks the surface, depending on the tide and will be visible from the white wash at the surface.  The boat will moor on the easterly pinnacle, about 75 yards to the east, in about 30 feet of water.  The shorter pinnacle features a swim-through, dense finger coral beds and rock ridges.  The sand/rubble channel that separates the two pinnacles is a good place to spot the Hawaiian Day Octopus.  Both pinnacles feature schools of pennant fish and many species of butterflyfish.
