Depth: 40’

Three parallel ridges perpendicular to the shoreline and a rippled sand channel to the West.  The tops of the ridges range from 15’ to 30’, the valley areas from 40’-50’ depths.

Both valleys have small arch swim-throughs that form bridges between the outside and center ridge.  The center ridge features two narrow caves to swim through, and all three ridges have multiple overhangs and hiding places for marine life.  Following the downward sloping finger and lobe corals the water on three sides of Sergeant Major can reach depths to more than 50’.  The attractive wide variety of Hawaiian endemic tropical fish and large schools of Sergeant Major fish, Triggerfish and Goatfish make this site pleasing to divers of all kinds.
