Depth:  70’

A large area both deep and shallow with many ridges offshore from Lanai.  Name derived from a huge rock supported by four pedestals that gives the appearance of a large doorknob sitting on top of a ridge at 20 feet. Under the Knob are beautiful yellow sponge and orange tube corals to observe. The main part of this site is seaward of the knob but use caution swimming seaward from the knob as it is easy to exceed 60 feet if you are trying to limit depth on this dive. This site is a complex ridge with numerous ledges and archways.  Approximately 100 feet east of the knob in about 50 feet of water you’ll find a large field of uncommon leather coral.  Abundance of tropical reef fish, lobster, eel squirrel fish, good octopus territory.  Large congregations of pyramid butterflyfish are common here as well.
