We are currently in Hawaii and diving with Lahaina Divers. So far, we've done Turtle Reef, a night dive and Molokini Crater. 3 charters down and 3 to go! So far, we have been very, very happy with the staff. Your store staff, boat Captains and Dive Masters are fun, helpful and very knowlegable! My only complaint is the number of people you stuffed on the boat on Saturday's trip to Molokini. The boat was extremely crowded and we were on top of one another. Also, when dividing the group it would be helpful to try and pair up all of the advanced divers together. I was once a beginner and realize everyone needs to start somewhere. I just prefer that it isn't running into me while I'm trying to enjoy my dive. Looking forward to Lanai, Molokai and Molokini back wall this coming week!

My dive trip was awesome. We went to lollipop the first day and it was by far the most unique fish I had seen our second day we dove at lanai and the cathedrals were gorgeous. It was a great dive and our dive guide jermey ( best dive guide ever ) took great underwater photos which will last us a lifetime of memories. When we originally booked our dives I was concerned we would have a large group because there was six with us but it ended up working well because it was us six with one dive guide and in the end we ended up getting nicknamed the Merrill clan.

I went on the Molokai trip on 12/31/10. Very heavy seas made getting on and off of the boat difficult. I thought the dive site was mediocre. We did see one hammerhead shark and another unidentified type. However, given the difficulty due to the rough conditions coming and going and the higher price I would not recommend this trip.
In 43 years of diving and boating it was the first time I ever tossed my cookies over the side.
I have enjoyed other dive sites that you go to much more.

My wife and I were only PADI certified prior to our trip to Hawaii with the intention of getting our full Open Water certification. I was more than a little nervous but Jarrett, our instructor, could not have been cooler and did a lot to ease my mind. We both passed and thoroughly enjoyed our dives to Mala Pier and Molokini Crater later that week. Everyone @ Lahaina from the Dans and Chrises to Jarrett and many more were all very accomodating and made for a great diving experience every time. We will definitely use them again should we find ourselves on Maui again.

Our diving experience was overshadowed by murky waters and issues with other new divers who had to constantly resurface, but after letting the owner of the company know how unsatisfactory it was, she did everything in her power to compensate us and make a not so great experience turn into a positive one and invite us back pleasantly for another diving trip. Because of her efforts in contacting us and making us satisfied, we will again use their company again should we return to Maui...and this is no slight to their friendly respectful fun staff on our trip!

My husband & I are novice divers. We fully enjoyed our 3/2 tank boat dives with your company! Jenna~~Is outstanding!! She was our dive master/guide on 2 of the 3 dives. Her dive briefings were so interesting and informative. She really cares how you are, where you are in the dive, as well as how much air you are consuming. The dive master on our 3 and final day, really didn't seem to care, never checked on us. I fealt I was low on air, not knowing myself how far along in the dive we were, tried like crazy to catch up to him waving my arms and showing him my psi. He was hard to get ahold of...I was very frustrated. When I had seen the 4 previous dives with Jenna, I fealt spoiled by her constant concern and attention. She is awesome and an asset to your dive company. We will be back on Maui many years to come and will continue to dive with your company!!

Unlike many other divers that have commented my family and I were quite disappointed with Lahaina Divers when we did the trip out to Molokai.
We are all very experienced divers with over 200 dives each (although the dive master never asked for our experience level) and we've never heard a more negative dive briefing. We were told that the dive was a one shot deal and that if you didn't have a enough weight no one on the boat would hand you anymore so you'd have to sit out the dive, and no one on the boat would hand your camera if you had one. To enter the water with it our dive master suggested holding the camera above your head with both hands when you jump in, my question is whose going to chase after the mask when it comes off.
After being told that it was a ''big boy dive'' our dive master continued on about how we had to watch out NDL's and how much it would cost to go to a recompression chamber and that if you didn't watch your NDL you would be blacklisted by Lahaina Divers.
The dive itself was good however our dive master didn't show us a single thing, she simply led the way and we followed. On the second dive she didn't follow the dive briefing that we were given on the boat and we were only able to enjoy the fish and fish rain for a very brief amount of time on the dive.
After our disappointment with the service from Lahaina Divers one of my family members emailed the owners of the dive shop and no reply was ever received.

Overall dive experience was very bad. The two dives were both within swimming distance of the harbor - the first was 25' and the second was 15'. On the first dive, I was diving and my wife was snorkeling - I was out of air and went to boat. No one on the boat had any idea where my wife was. Said she swam away. Absolutely not concerned. "Divemaster" (who was aboard the boat) also had no idea where any of the other divers were either. Terrible crew, terrible trip. One of the few things I did during my trip to Maui where I felt completely ripped off. Would not recommend this company.

My 14 year old Son Daniel and I had the best four days of dives with you! The shop is clean, organized and efficicent (Thanks Therese!) and the dive boats and guides were all very, very good. This is a first class outfit and we feel fortunate to have found you. Aloha Jared, Dave, Elliot, Jonathan, Steve, Ron and Crews!

Many, MANY thanks for a great 3 days of diving (12/9-12/11/10) this past week. Just wanted you to know, how wonderful it was using your dive operation again after 15 years. Your service was every bit as good last week as it was back in 1995.
Hope to dive with you again soon.

I had a great time diving with Lahaina Divers. I am a dive professional and was impressed by the boat staff's balance between operating a safe boat and providing a fun experience. I plan to dive with Lahaina divers the next time I am on Maui.

I had a great dive. Cathedrals was exceptionally beautiful. You dive boat crew was very friendly and helpful. Overall, a great experience. I will recommend you to everyone I know and will definitely use you again, should I return to Maui. Thanks for everything!

Our first dive to Reef's End with Dan on 11/16 was a decompression dive (70' for 40 minutes) but neither Jerrod (spelling?), Dan nor Nicole told us that. Our S.I. was only 45 minutes before we went to 60' for minutes at Enenui! Fortunately, I did a lengthy safety stop. But, shouldn't divers be aware of depth and time? We don't all have computers. I went back in my dive log and noticed that the same thing happened in my last dive with L.D. at Sgt. Major/1st Cath.!

Thank you guys & gals for wonderful experience. I look forward to diving with you all again.

What a great trip! My sister and I dove to days with you guys and we were very impressed. Your crew was very knowledgable, professional and have great personalities. We all had a lot of fun together. The boat was clean and the food was good. I definitely recommend Lahaina Divers to anyone diving on Maui. Good times and memories that will last a lifetime!

Thanks so much to Captain Dan and the rest of the crew for getting us to Molokini and back safely on the windy day of October 27! I was not prepared to see such beautiful fish and underwater views. Such a memorable trip. Thanks again :)

Really enjoyed diving with the Lahaina Divers last week. Even though weather caused us to change our dive site, Capt. Dan found us a great spot to dive and made sure we were all safe. The dive masters all provide a nice laid-back approach, while maintaining utmost professionalism throughout the dives. I have limited experience and this environment was ideal.

I'm a recently certified diver, and I was looking for an understanding, supportive dive comompetent company to start me off on the right foot...fin. Lahaina Divers were that and more. No BS, comfortable boat, competent crew, relaxed divemaster. Instead of dreading my next trip, I can't wait to get wet. Thanks, folks.

Thanks very much! We had an awesome time on both days we went out. We really enjoyed the fast boats, a bit of food, great people, and most important great diving! We did the Cathedrals on Lanai and the Hammerhead dive off of Molokai on October 15 and 16 respectively. We were not disappointed!
Larry Gilbert on
Had fun diving Molikini....lots of fish and a couple eels. First dive would have been much better if inexperienced diver didn't panic, aborting our deep dive to look for sharks. They need to do a better job seperating experienced divers from guppies.
Dave Fox on
Really enjoyed my dives as I finally got to see my first shark. Everyone on the boat made the diving relaxing and fun. Keep up the good work.

Had the pleasure of diving with Lahina Divers on Oct. 7th. Found Dive Master Chris to be most informative and enthusiastic.
Saw the most beautiful Moorish Idols and took time to explore a new potential new dive site.
Thanks for a great time!

I have a great 6 dives with both of the boats and all of the crew. Chris and Captain Dan were funny and informative. It didn't matter if you were a little slow, they had patients to get everyone off of the boat, have a good time and get everyone back on the boat. Thanks for making my vacation a good one.

We had a great time on our dives to Lanai. I really appreciated Rebecca, your staff photographer. Thanks again.

Loved every second of my two days of diving with you. Chris was a master at making sure we had a great safe and eventful dive. After five years on the surface and nearly 64, you made my trip! And thanks for the extra fun with the dolphins on the way back from Lanai.
Carla mckendry on
I loved every moment of the two days of diving with you. Very professional, safety concious, and friendly. After not diving for five years and at the age of nearly 64, I was a little nervous. That went out the first 2 minutes back on the air tank. Thank you Chris for all of your master skills in making this memorable for me. The dolphins leaving Lanai were such a high as they raced the boat back to Lahaina.

Our first dive in the Pacific and it was well worth it! Your dive masters were truly "MASTERS" and made our 3 days of diving very safe, fun, informative and adventurous! Thanks and we will be back for the hammer heads.

This was my second time diving with Lahaina Divers. They have excellent customer service, great safety protocols, good equipment and fun staff! Their boats are in good shape and even when there are many divers aboard they have enough dive masters to break down the group to smaller dive groups.
I will be back with Lahaina Divers on my next trip to Maui!

I want to personally say thank you My dive to the Cathedrals was the absolute highlight of my entire 2 1/2 week stay in Hawaii. Nicole was our guide to Molokini and Chris was our guide for the Cathedrals and the night dive. They were professional relaxed knowledgeable and just plain fun. I am planning on writing a glowing review for tripadvisor You guys rock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your crew was not only friendly and professional, but seemed to all get along amongst themselves and all the divers as well. The dives were great, what a treat to have that kind of vis. We dive mainly north coast Calif. great sea life but colder and maybe 30' to 50' vis on better days. I would dive again with Lahina Divers

Thanks so much Lahaina Divers for making our Anniversary so Great and Mary's first Open Ocean Dive a Wonderful Lasting experience. The Crew (Capt. Dan, Chelsea, Nicole, and Chris) were AWESOME and made the 4 Dives a great experience. We will be back to see you again in the future and go do the Cathedrals and what ever else you have up your sleeve.
Again Thank you to Chelsea for all her help and guidance and to Nicole for helping us back to the Boat.

Great Hammerhead Dive. Highly recommend Lahaina Divers. Great Staff. Awesome boat ride to Molokai from Lahaina Harbor. Food was great, but cookies were out of this world. If you get the chance to go on this dive do not pass it up.

This week I took the plunge 7 times with Lahaina Divers and they were all great! I have been on almost 15 dives with the Lahaina crew and they are always fun to be around! This week I completed my Advanced Open Water Certification and both Dan F. and Chris were awesome instructors. They were both encouraging and you could tell they really loved their jobs. I am a die hard Lahaina Divers and I hope that someday I can move to Maui and work along side the great Lahaina Crew doing what I love, DIVING!

This was my second set of dives with Lahaina Divers. As great as my experiences were last summer, this years experiences were even more spectactular. Went on the Lana'i, Molokini and Cart/Manta Point dives. Everyone from the check in desk to the boat crew was wonderful. Especially great were Chelsea and Rebecca with their photography. This is the only dive operation I will use on Maui. Thanks again.

Had a great time. This was me and my brothers first dive in the ocean and it was amazing. I like that you guy use the larger 3200 psi tanks. 1st Cathedral off of Lanai was absolutely amazing. Jenna did a great job as our dive leader. The whole trip was a great experience and the view was fantastic. We will definitely dive here again when we take a trip to the islands. Thanks for the experience of a lifetime.

Thanks for a great time again this year. I only wish we could get the hammerheads closer. Maybe next year I could get rubbed down with some dead tuna?

We took 2 afternoon trips to Turtle Reef and a morning trip to Lanai. My boys completed their certifications with the friendliest and most knowledgeable staff I have ever encountered. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. You guys collectively exceeded every expectation we had, and then some. From capts Dan and Elliott, to instructors and awesome guides Chris and Dan, only to be outdone by the most agile and capable guide and underwater photographer we met, Rebecca... Every dive just kept getting better. On land, it was an equally fantastic customer service! Added bonus: Free comedy acts, and food. Keep it up gang.
